God’s Simple Plan of Salvation
Do you have the assurance of going to Heaven when you pass from this life? According to God’s word, to enter Heaven, one must be born again, as Jesus conveyed to Nicodemus in John 3:7, “Ye must be born again.”
The Bible outlines a straightforward plan for this spiritual rebirth, which is also synonymous with salvation. God’s plan is both accessible and immediate; you can embrace it today. Here’s how:
Step 1: Acknowledge Your Imperfection
Recognize that you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 declares, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Due to sin, you face the consequence of death, as Romans 6:23 states: “For the wages [payment] of sin is death.” This entails not just physical death but also eternal separation from God in Hell, as emphasized in Hebrews 9:27, “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
Step 2: Accept God’s Love and Sacrifice
God loves you deeply and has demonstrated this love by giving His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sins and die on your behalf. In 2 Corinthians 5:21, we read, “He hath made Him [Jesus, Who knew no sin] to be sin for us… that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”
Jesus had to shed His blood and die, as Leviticus 17:11 tells us, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood,” and Hebrews 9:22 emphasizes, “without shedding of blood is no remission [pardon].” Romans 5:8 reinforces this love, stating, “God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Step 3: Repent and Believe
Repentance involves a change of heart and mind, aligning with God’s acknowledgment of your sin and Jesus’ redemptive work on the Cross. Acts 16:30-31 exemplifies this when the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…”
Believe in Jesus as the one who bore your sins, died in your place, was buried, and was resurrected by God. His resurrection assures believers of eternal life, as John 1:12 states, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.”
Finally, Romans 10:13 assures us, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This salvation is not a maybe or a can; it’s a definite “shall be saved.”
A Simple but Profound Truth
You may think it can’t be this simple, but it truly is. It’s both scriptural and God’s plan. Believe in Jesus, receive Him as your Savior today, and be assured of salvation.
If this plan seems unclear, read this message repeatedly until you grasp its profound simplicity. Your soul is of immeasurable worth, as Mark 8:36 reminds us, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?”
Make sure you are saved. Losing your soul means missing Heaven and losing everything. Let God save you this very moment.
God’s power will save you, keep you saved, and empower you to lead a victorious Christian life, as 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us.
Don’t rely on fleeting feelings; stand firmly on God’s unchanging promises. After salvation, focus on daily practices for spiritual growth:
1. Pray – Communicate with God.
2. Read your Bible – Listen to God through His word.
3. Fellowship – Spend time with fellow believers.
4. Disciple-Making – Help others know God.
5. Obedience – Let God guide your life.
In conclusion, to lose your soul is an irreparable loss. Yet, to be saved is as simple as believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Choose salvation today.
